Where imagination becomes environment.

the story

Before productions, there were ideas. I often experienced events as full scenes in my imagination — sparked by music, conversations, prayer, and quiet reflection. I began writing these concepts down as complete environments: staging, symbolism, audience interaction.

Though many of them were never produced under The Love Theory, that imaginative discipline followed me into Scribes, where I began translating vision into physical stage design.

CONCEPT ONE: AWAKE, THE BRIDEGROOM IS COMING | 2021

The space was transformed into a symbolic wedding ground — reflecting the anticipation of the Bridegroom. Bonfire installations (constructed with wreath-bound sticks and enclosed candles) framed the stage, while floral arcs defined the poetic focal point.

The auditorium carried suspended “love letters” — designed excerpts from 1 Corinthians 13 — strung across the space as visible theology. At the entrance, a reception desk titled Gifts from the Bridegroom invited attendees to select handwritten scrolls labeled Love, Joy, Peace — creating participatory symbolism.

CONCEPT TWO: WATCH WHILE WAITING | 2022

Inspired by the dual imagery of watchmen and waiting, the auditorium was reimagined as an airport terminal — a space of alertness and anticipation.

Seating was arranged in boarding formation. Guests received program “boarding passes,” each named after a biblical watchman — Abraham, Noah, Joshua, Moses and others — corresponding to twelve symbolic terminals representing the hours of a clock.

Handwritten scroll signage marked each terminal, while lanterns and paper ships subtly referenced narratives such as Noah’s obedience. A projected arrivals screen reinforced the immersive airport atmosphere before entry.

OPUS EVENT BACKDROP DESIGN | 2023

Concept:
Designed an interactive photo backdrop for The Big Wedding: Saga of the Six Virgins, combining the Opus logo, event theme, and a golden globe motif against a black background to engage participants.

Inspiration:
Matthew 25:1–3; the story of the wise virgins. Encouraged attendees to reflect on spiritual readiness while interacting with the installation.

Contribution:
Created the visual layout, incorporating event branding, theme elements, and participant engagement features. Set up interactive name placement on the globe to foster personal connection.

Outcome:
Highly populated and interactive backdrop; participants actively engaged by writing their names and messages. Provided a memorable, visually striking experience that reinforced the event’s spiritual theme.
