ACT I- IMAGES
Visual storytelling through design.
Graphic design, to me, is the art of communicating through the intentional arrangement of visual elements. It is storytelling without excess words — where composition, color, form, and space work together to convey meaning. My goal is to create visuals that communicate immediately and intuitively, allowing viewers to grasp and feel the message even before they can articulate it.
My engagement with graphic design began around 2018–2019. At the time, my experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator was limited to developing textile patterns during my formal training. Design, to me then, was primarily surface and structure.
After graduation, a friend introduced me to practical graphic design — flyers, layouts, and client-facing visuals. Following a tutorial session, he entrusted me with real projects for churches and other clients. By God’s grace, the responses were overwhelmingly positive. That exposure expanded my understanding of design beyond aesthetics into communication.
As I began working on brochures and brand identities, I discovered what truly intrigued me: branding as storytelling. The idea that visuals could carry narrative, emotion, and identity resonated deeply with me. From there, I explored content creation, motion design for a children’s YouTube platform, and even developed story-driven branding for my own Christian T-shirt business.
Graphic design became more than a skill — it became another language through which I could tell stories.
